Alfredo Restrepo - Art Director
Alfredo Restrepo is the Art Director of The Woodlands Ad Agency.
Alfredo graduated from the prestigious Corporacion Educativa del Litoral, in his native Colombia, with a degree in design and advertising in 1984. Since then, he has worked hard to keep his qualifications updated to ensure he is always a step ahead of the crowd with regards to new design styles and technology.
Today, Alfredo works with various design programs, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, and Flash. He utilizes technology available for both Windows and Mac in order to work in the best medium possible for whatever a particular project demands artistically.
After more than twenty years of experience in advertising creation and marketing development, Alfredo has created stunning design work for magazines, book covers, billboards, CD cases, product packaging, posters, and graphics for publicity projects. He also specializes in creating unique logos that perfectly encapsulate a product or service and help turn any given company into a brand.
Alfredo is a passionate photographer – equally comfortable with both the lithographic as well as the digital process - and he is adept at using his artist’s eye to select the best pictures for publicity campaigns.
Alfredo is also an experienced copywriter, which is a useful advertising and marketing skill; his text combined with his graphics combine to create a powerful statement. He has also previously worked as a Graphic Designer and a Creative Director. His previous employers and clients include large cosmetic companies, stores, hotels, and respected advertising agencies in Colombia.
